Tania was born in California but raised in a small town in Durango, Mexico. She decided to migrate back to the states when she was in her junior year of High School. Migrating at this age shaped her identity and it became really important to pursue a career that would highlight and support her community. During her time at the U of A she did an internship for Derechos Humanos/BorderLinks and fell in love with this line of work. After graduating, she worked in Miami for a nonprofit immigration law firm, and later moved back to Tucson where she connected back with the amazing work of BorderLinks-she has been on staff since May, 2015. In her free time she loves to listen to horror podcasts as she tries cooking new recipes.
